Oil declined amid the rise in concerns whether the OPEC will be tightening supplies.
Brent crude traded 40 cents weaker at $62.92 per barrel, and the U.S. light crude at $57.86 falling 16 cents.
Comex gold futures at $1,290.13
The precious metal, gold, traded lower today with the Comex gold futures reaching approximately $1,290.13 a troy ounce declining 0.2% or $2.00.
Copper futures traded to $3.127 a pound diminishing 0.4% or 1.2 cents, palladium to $998.62 an ounce falling 0.3%, platinum at $936.55 dropping 0.4%, and silver futures to $17.08 a troy ounce depreciating 0.2% or 3.0 cents.
USD/CAD escalates at 1.2720
The U.S dollar gained momentum against the Canadian one, with the USD/CAD pair trading at 1.2720 rising 0.19%. The EUR/CAD approached the 1.5072 zone appreciating 0.44%.
